Do something thats memorable for both of you. DO you have a special place the two of you like to go? Maybe do a special dinner there.
And take pictures so you can look back and have memories in photos of your first anniv!!

Plan a really romantic dinner, make it exquisite, appetizers, dinner, dessert. Get all dressed up in your best. Go home and make love to each other

I think getting a whole picnic together and ready, head out to a park, maybe with some scenery, not a bunch of people there…and lay down a blanket…eat, bring some wine (if you drink it) and then lay down when it gets darker and watch the stars go by..totally sweet and romantic, and not expensive, and a great way to spend time with just the two of you, as opposed to going to a dinner and a movie, you are surrounded by people…hope this helps! ok, i would make a scrapbook with pictures of you and both of you from the very begining and then take some sexy ones of you with his shirt or pillow or something so when your gone he will have the pics and the "object" you choose.
a video, you can crop some from your wedding if you had one, and just do like a "confessional" how much you love him, why you love him, why you choose him, how much you'll miss you, then at the end do some sexy poses or dance or something that he can watch over and over agian!!

my hubby and i just get eachother cards and then we go out to dinner. we decided on anniversary #1 to just do that since we buy eachother gifts for christmas, birthdays, and valentines day already.

I've been thinking that a fun way to celebrate a first year anniversary would be to throw a little party. A sort of "The Honeymoon is Over" type deal. Invite the wedding party and a few other friends who attended. I'd have a small pseudo wedding cake, with a funny cake topper on top. Maybe display a photo collage with pictures from the wedding, and pictures from throughout the year. This way, you get to celebrate your 1st anniversary with people who were with you one year ago, and have a sort of farewell party at the same time. Good luck!
