Paper is the traditional 1st anniversary gift. You could buy a keepsake box and fill it with photos, love coupons, a love letter or notes. The notes could be a line or two about any special memories you shared in your first year together. A love letter could be not only about the love you share now, but also about your dreams and plans together for the future.

No matter what gift you give, include a handwritten love letter. If you go out to a restaurant, place your letter in an elegant gold envelope (gold is the 1st year gemstone), buy a rose (or whatever is her fave flower) and have the restaurant serve it on an elegant platter at dessert time. Let me tell you, restaurants are very happy to help out with romantic requests like this!

I have seen one of these snapshows at a wedding I recently attended, and its really beautiful. They do an extremely good job of synchronizing the music, creating a storyline and basically making those still pictures come alive on the screen. And congratulations on your 1st year together!

I’d recommend the hotel idea. Here, there are a ton of hotels down town and they usually have a romance package where they give you a luxury room and free breakfast, champagne etc it’s a nice way to get away from home and life for a night and sometimes you can get late check out

We just did that about a month ago, it was nice.

Okay here is a list,

1.lotion/perfume

2. really nice diamond necklace/braceletet

3. Make her dinner and give her roses.

4. Write her a poem and read it during a dinner

5. Breakfast in bed

6. Shopping Spree:)

Just do something from the heart, it will show you really care for her.

For our 1 year my husband and I stayed overnight at a nearby Bed and Breakfast. We went to dinner at a historical restaurant in that city, and to a comedy show. We bought each other cards. The following morning we went to a Renaissance Festival - it was just lovely and we had such a wonderful time, that we have made it a tradition to do every year! PS I'd keep it simple for year 1 - maybe a card, a homecooked meal and a back massage. Just little stuff to show you care.
