please help!.. I want this to be special, and I am stumped!
For our 1 year my husband and I stayed overnight at a nearby Bed and Breakfast. We went to dinner at a historical restaurant in that city, and to a comedy show. We bought each other cards. The following morning we went to a Renaissance Festival - it was just lovely and we had such a wonderful time, that we have made it a tradition to do every year!
PS I'd keep it simple for year 1 - maybe a card, a homecooked meal and a back massage. Just little stuff to show you care.

my anniversary is coming up and i want to do something wonderful for him….any ideas?
congratulation to both of you!!! Now let me tell you, you will be the 3rd person that I will give my advice on what to do, so far my first two took my advice and I'm happy that those 4 people are on the right road.
Every body here are telling you all kinds of things that can or might work, but just follow your heat for this. Material things will be very nice but from your heart will be more a lot fun and romantic.
Plan it carefully and just tell your husband that you want to have a nice dinner out, dont let him make a reservation in a restaurant or else your plan will not work. Now the day of your anniversary,set a table for two, put a long stem rose on top of it, then buy candles lots of it,spread it all over. Then find a soft music that the two of you do enjoy listening,jazz maybe??
If he drinks,but white wine (chardonnay, )cook his favorite dinner or maybe steak, when all of this are done,make sure that phoe are off, no contact from no one,and then if you have a nice black dress,wear it with high heels.
From there, the two of you will follow your heart and your evening will be perfect…………….best wishes to both of you!

my first wedding anniversary and i want to do some thing special. i live in san antonio and getting into the air force soon so we will be apart for a while comming real soon. so any good ideas. everyone that puts a answer gets a thumbs up.
I think getting a whole picnic together and ready, head out to a park, maybe with some scenery, not a bunch of people there…and lay down a blanket…eat, bring some wine (if you drink it) and then lay down when it gets darker and watch the stars go by..totally sweet and romantic, and not expensive, and a great way to spend time with just the two of you, as opposed to going to a dinner and a movie, you are surrounded by people…hope this helps! I am celebrating my 2 year anniversary with my boyfriend. I have already gotten him a few gifts. I plan to take him out to dinner. I was also thinking of driving him around, blindfolded, and take him to special spots and locations of ours. Can anyone think of anything else that would really make the day special? Something unique and romantic. I have been racking my brain to come up with really nothing. I am not very creative so please help.
try to pretend that you forget your anniversary day and behind that, make something that you think you could surprise him.

My girlfriend and I are coming up on our 1 year anniversary. She loves to write and used to keep a journal a few years ago and she gets so excited when she reads things she wrote in her journal a few years back.
So I was thinking of getting her a Custom leather journal with her name imprinted on it as an anniversary gift. Do you think that this would be a good anniversary gift?

That sounds like a great gift! My fiance had actually done the same thing for me! He also got me a beautiful pen set and wrote an inscription on the first page. I cried when he gave it to me because it was the most thoughtful thing anyone had done for me! It shows that you pay attention.

Mine and my boyfriends 2 year anniversary is July the 4th and I need a present idea. He has just about everything, he is 20 years old and he is a big outdoors person. He loves hunting, fishing, guns, knifes, dodge trucks. He has tons of guns and scopes and knifes already. He loves working on diesel trucks and fixing up things like dune buggies. I believe we are going to a big firework show on a lake and we are taking his boat for our anniversary. I would really like to give him something nice. I have already got something going containing 100 reasons I love him and I would also like to do something containing pictures. Any ideas or suggestions you have are greatly appreciated. Thanks.
The bow idea is good, but he already was two and he is a very skilled hunter.
no offense ladies, but guys don't care about photo albums or 100 reasons why you love them. sounds like you need to buy this guy a tool kit that he's always wanted, a part for his truck, an air compressor, etc. perhaps buy him a robo duck (you can google it if you want). or maybe a new camo outfit, camo jacket, etc. thoughtful isn't slapping together a 100 photos of you guys in a mans vision…it's about buying him something you know he'd like. save the photos as an extra gift to show him you care. guys like it when a girl pays attention. for example if you two are out and he says, "geez, i wish i had one of these," or the next time he's working on his car and said, "i wish i had this tool," etc.
